Common Name The Delicate Leafed Odontoglossum

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Peru and Bolivia in wet and mossy cloud foressts mostly on the eastern slope of the Andes at elevations of 1900 to 3100 meters as a cool to cold growing, caespitose to alternate on a creeping rhizome epiphyte with ovoid, ancipitous, slightly compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 5 to 6, distichous, uppermost foliaceous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect,conduplicate, linear, acute, subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in th summer, fall and early winter on an axillary, suberecdt, racemose, [11 to 18 cm] long, loosely 2 to 6 flowered inflorescence with apresssed, scale-like shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying stellate flowers.
