Flower Size .72 to .8" [1.8 to 2 cm]
Found in northeastern Madagascar in humid coastal forests at elevations of sealevel to 20 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with a glabrous rhizome giving rise to conical, .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] between each, heteroblastic pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, oblong to narrowly lanceolate, acute, papery, 3 to 5 main nervede, attenuate below into the canaliculate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect, peduncle 12 to 12.8" [30 to 32 cm] long, provided with 3 to 4 basal, imbricate, membraneous sheaths and 2 to 3 cauline shaeths above, rachis 4 to 5.2" [10 to 13 cm] long, simple, 10 to 12 flowered inflorescence with oval, shorter than the ovary floral bracts
