Common Name The Sharp Oncidium
Flower Size 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm]
Found in western Colombia and Ecuador at 650 to 1400 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with narrowly ovate, laterally compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs carrying oblong, acute, conduplicate below to form a petiole-like base leaves and blooms on a basal, paniculate, 32" to 5' 4" [80 to 160 cm] long, 15 to 20 branched, arcuate to nodding, many flowered, twining and flexuous, inflorescence with widely spaced flowers.
The third photo is incorrect even though it is often sold as O abruptum.
