Found in Sao Paulo Brazil as a natural hybrid between O sarcodes and O lietzii with obliquely ovoid pseudobulbs with scarious cataphyls and carrying 2, apical, sessile, coriaceous, oblong, shortly acute leaves that blooms on a longer than the leaf, to 12" [30 cm] long, paniculate, red green, fractiflex branches, many flowered inflorescence with minute, triangular, adpressed bracts.
