Common Name The Moss-Like Comb Oncidium

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in Costa Rica, Panama, and Peru in lower and premontane cloud forests at elevations of 1000 to 2200 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with ovoid to lanceolate, slightly compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by a pair of leafless and leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 2, apical, erect, elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms summer through winter on an erect, axillary, through the leaf-bearing sheath, 16" to 3'4" [40 cm to 1m] long, paniculate, inflorescence all branched, primary and secondary branches each with a single fertile flower and many sterile ones which after flowering can produce plantlets.

Certainly related to if not a synonym of Oncidium heteranthum.
