Common Name Cogniaux's Oncidium [French Botanist mainly in Brazil 1800's]

Found in Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo and Parana states of Brazil at elevations of 100 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with clumped, filiform pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, apical leaves that blooms in the fall on a semi-pendent, 2 to 2.8" [5 to 7 cm] long, to 15 flowered inflorescence
