Common Name or Meaning The Horn Carrying Oncidium

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Bahia, Espirito Santo, Rio de Janiero, Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo, Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande Do Sul Brazil and Paraguay low on mossy trees in montane, shady forests near streams and rivers at elevations of 50 to 500 [1200] meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte with tightly clustered, dark green, cigar-shaped to terete, longitudinally grooved and rugose pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, acute, floppy leaf with a pronounced midrib that blooms in the summer and winter on a basal, to 30" [75 cm] long, arching, many flowered inflorescence carrying to 80, cup shaped flowers.
