Found in Bahia, Espirito Santo and Rio de Janiero and Parana' Brazil in montane rainforests at elevations of 500 to 1000 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with fusiform, elongate pseuodobulbs carrying 1 to 2, apical, erect, narrowly elliptic, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, paniculate, erect to arching, to 12" [30 cm] long, few to several flowered inflorescence
