Common Name The Magnificent Oncidium

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in Bolivia at elevations of 1300 to 2500 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to narrowly ovate, distinct midrib, strongly compressed laterally, ancipitous pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, lanceolate leaves that blooms on a paniculate, heteranthous, erect, subflexuose, very short peduncle, 6 to 10 spreading to ascending shortly branched, several flowered inflorescence with each branch carrying 1 to 2 abortive flowers and 1 to 2 fertile, mildly fragrant flowers.
