Common Name Martinez's Oncidium [Panamanian Orchid enthusiast and discoverer of the type current]

Found in Darien Province of Panama at elevations of 600 to 800 meters as a small [plant only], warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to narrowly pvate, sltrongly laterally compressed pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, lanceoalte, obtuse, condulicate below into the base leaves that blooms on an axillary, nodding, peduncle short, paniculate, the rachis 15 to 20 branched, branches spresing, each branch loosely 3 to 8 flowered, 56 to 64" [140 to 160 cm] long overall, many flowered inflorescence carrying non fragrant flowers.

Similar O dichromaticum which also occurs in Panama but differs in the nodding inflorescence that can have spreading not ramified branches, the cuneate isthmus of the lip, by a different callus and by its column wings.
