Common Name The Small Stigma Oncidium

Flower Size .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm]

Found in central and southwestern Mexico in grasslands within oak forests, deciduous forests and riparian forests at elevations around 1450 to 1750 meters as a medium to large sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with clustered, sulcate, ovoid, laterally compressed pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, apical, lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, peduncle to 8" [20 cm] long, paniculate 20 to 38" [50 to 90 cm] long, longest branch to 6" [15 cm] long, smallest to 1" [2.5 cm] long, each branch 1 to few flowered, 12 to 50 flowered inflorescence.
