Common Name The Uprising Cyrtochilum

Found in Peru near Macchu Picchu in cloud forests from altitudes of 1500 to 3600 meters as a large sized, cool to cold growing epiphytic species that blooms in summer on an elongate, climbing, paniculate, few branched, each branch stout, 5.2 to 6.4" [13 to 16 cm] long, only a few flowers on each branch, loosely several flowered inflorescence with conspicuous, egg-shaped, acute, deeply concave floral bracts.
