Found in Bahia, Espirito Santo and Rio de Janiero states of Brazil in montane rainforest at elevations of 400 to 800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with elongate, fusiform pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, apical, narrowly elliptic, acute leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on an axillary, basal, paniculate, erect to arching, to 12" [30cm] long, several flowered inflorescence
