Common Name The Naked Oncidium
Flower Size .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm]
Found in Panama, Colombia and Venezuela at elevations of 100 to 350 meters in hot humid lowlands as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with closely spaced, very small pseudobulbs completely enveloped by gray to white leaf sheaths and carrying a single, apical, fleshy, acute, terete, smooth, dark brown green, ribbed with age leaves that blooms in the winter on an axillary, horizontal to ascending to erect, paniculate, 20" [50 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with each several flowered branch held at close to 90 degrees to the inflorescence and are all held to the apical half.
