Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil in rocky regions at elevations around 1450 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing saxicolous, caespitose orchid with green, ovoid, laterally compressed, slightly sulcate pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, subcoriaceous,oblong, acute, very evident rib abaxially leaves that blooms in the fall on alateral from the leaf axil, paniculate, erect, flexuous, to 36" [90 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.
