to LATE EARLY
Common Name The Broad Leafed Lophiaris
Flower Size
This species may be synomonous with Lophiaris cavendishianum. I leave them separate at this time awaiting further information.Tis species occurs in pine/oak forests as a cool to cold growing mule ear epiphyte that blooms in the late fall and early winter.
This species and Lophiaris cavendishianum are often cited as synomonous but this one differs in the callus of the lip being a lump of indistinct calli as well as blooming earlier and L cavendishianum has 2 distinct opposing calli.
Synonyms Oncidium pachyphyllum Hkr. 1840
