Common Name Portilla's Oncidium [Ecuadorian Nursuryman current]

Found in Ecuador at elevations around 1800 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with elliptical, laterally compressed pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, erect lanceolate, acute, conduplicate below into he base leaves that blooms on a heteranthous, erect, peduncle short, paniculate, the rachis 10 to 15 branched, the branches short, ramified, the twigs short, branches and twigs carrying numerous, small, abortive flowers the branches and the ends of some twigs carrying a single fertile flower, [16 t o20 " [40 to 50 cm] long, several to many flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
