Common Name or Meaning Schmidt's Oncidium [German Botanist later 1800's]

Flower Size 1.5" [3.75 cm]

Found in Colombia and Venezuela as a small sized epiphyte with complanate, ovoid, sulcate pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 2 pairs of leafless and leafbearing sheaths and carrying 2, apical, erect, linear, apically acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate, clasping base leaves that blooms on an axillary, 14" [35 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence

CAUTION!! Cited as and may be a synonym of O baueri. I need better pictures and information on both species so use with extreme caution. There is quite a bit of difference in the calli if this determination is correct.
