Common Name Schwambach's Lophiaris

Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil in wet humid forests at elevations around 500 to 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with clustered, small pseudobulbs enveloped by papery sheaths and carrying a single, dark green, red to purple spotted, acute, conduplicate shortly below into the base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a basal, usually branched, to 5.2" [13 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence carrying very fragrant flowers.
