Found in Colombia [Guatemala?] at elevations around 1800 meters as a large sized, cool growing orchid with oblong, laterally compressed pseudobulbs carrying leathery, linear-lanceolate, acute, becoming slightly conduplicate towards the base leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an axillary, paniculate, slightly zig-zag, 6" [15 cm] between each few flowered branch that are 4 to 12" [10 to 30 cm] long, to 118" [300 cm ] long overall, many flowered inflorescence.
