Common Name Widgren's Oncidium [Swedish Plant Collector 1800's]

Found in Minas Gerais, Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo states of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina in cool moist montane forests and drier, warm savannahs at elevations of 200 to 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with clustered, thicker in the middle pseudobulbs and carrying a single, rigid, acute, narrowly oblong leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, slender, suberect to nodding, racemose to paniculate, several flowered inflorescence arising on a matured pseudobulb.
