Plant and Flowers Photos by © Armando NC and his Flickr Orchid Photo Website
Common Name The Yellow Birds Beak Oncidium
Flower Size
Found in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru at elvations of 1800 to 2430 meters as a cool growing orchid that blooms on an axillary, 10" [25 cm] long, paniculate, irregularily diverging branches, several flowered inflorescnece.
Often cited as a synonym of Oncidium deltoideum and is very similar if both photos are correct.
CAUTION The only references that I have for this species is Kew which lists Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador as provenences and Kranzlin who lists Peru and Ecuador as the source, all other references state that this one is a synonym of Oncidium deltoideum and seems very similar.
