Found in the Philippines at elevations of 600 to 2000 meters as a medium to large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with erect, succulent stems carrying below the middle, erect, obliquely lanceolate, membraneous, petiolate dilated below to form sheaths leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 8" [20 cm] long, glandular hairy, many flowered inflorescence
