Flower Size about 1 1/4" [2.75 cm]

Found in Sicily, Italy, Yugoslavia, Greece, and Albania in short, poor grasslands, garrigue and open woodlands at elevations up to 1800 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial that blooms in the spring on a 3/4 to 2" [2 to 5 cm] long, rather densly many flowered inflorescence.
