Found in Pichincha Ecuador at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a repent, branching rhizome giving rise to suberect ramicauls enveloped by 1 to 2, thin, long-ciliate lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, prone, coriaceous, circular, rounded below leaf and contracted abruptly into the ramicaul that blooms in the winter on an erect, [5 to 6 mm] long, congested, successively 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence

This species belongs in Lepanthes but as yet has not been described as such so I have it here
