Common Name The Small Flowered Orestias

Flower Size .2 to .28" [5 to 5.2 mm]

Found in São Tomé, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea in lowland, hill and gallery forests at elevations of 450 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial orchid with fusiform pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 4, broadly ovate, ovate to ovate-oblong, apiculate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, terminal, peduncle with 3 to 6 sterile bracts, the rachis 2 to 5.6" [5 to 14 cm] long, 3.2 to 8.8" [8 to 22 cm] long, 30 to 60 flowered inflorescence.

This is the Isotype of Orestias micrantha and was collected in 1897
