Common Name Lankester's Ornithocephalus [American Botanist in Costa Rica 1900's]

Found in Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica in very wet, pluvial and cloud forests at elevations of 900 to 1550 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool, pendent growing epiphyte with held in a fan, narrowly elliptic, subfalcate acute leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an axillary, pendent, 1.8 to 2.8" [4.5 to 7 cm] long, rachis carinate, the quills erose, many flowered inflorescence with oblong-lanceolate, cordate, acute, glandular-erose margined floral bracts and carrying white flowers.
