Found in Bolivia in montane cloud forests at elevations around 1450 to 1850 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with an inconspicuous stem enveloped completely by imbricating, distichous leaf sheaths carrying 7 to 9, in a fan, conduplicate, linear-oblong, falcate, fleshy, articulate to the base leaves that blooms in the winter on an axillary, erect, to 2 to 2.8" [5 to 7 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence enveloped by 5 to 7, setulose margined, triagular bracts and similar floral bracts .
