Found as a warm to cool growing, miniature, twig epiphyte in seasonally dry forests with nocturnal fog at elevations of 400 to 1300 meters in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru with equitant, lanceolate, subfalcate, articulated to persistent sheaths, conduplicate, thick, subfleshy leaves that blooms in the winter and summer on an axillary, many flowered racemose inflorescence equalling the leaf length .
