Common Name The Shell-Shaped Lip Ornithocephalus

Flower Size 1/4" [6mm]

Found in Panama and Colombia at altitudes of 600 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a fan of narrowly elloiptic-oblong to broadly ensiform, acute to obliquely acute, articulate below into the oblong, persistent, conduplicate base leaves that blooms in the in the winter and spring on an erect, 4 1/2" [12 cm] long, racemose few to several flowered inflorescence.

This epiphytic species is best mounted on cork, tree fern or wood, given shady, humid conditions with even, year round waterings.
