Found in Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 200 to 700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with distichous, equitant, subfalcately ligular, obliquely acute, often shortly apiculate, coriaceous leaves arranged in a broad fan that blooms in the late fall and early winter on 1 to 2, slender, to 3.6" [9 cm] long, axillary, laterally compressed, narrowly winged, subglobose to puberulent, 7 to 11 flowered inflorescence carrying large for the genus flowers..
