Found in Ecuador in wet montane forests in old citrus trees at elevations of 220 to 600 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a fan of smooth, light green, imbricating, obliquely ovate, acute, laterally flattened leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an axillary, 5.6" [14 cm] long, hirsute, 7 to 19 flowered inflorescence with triangular, hirsute floral bracts.
