Found in Peru and Bolivia at elevations around 3200 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with a very slender, lax, short to relatively elongate, usually remotely branched stems entirely enveloped by loose, spreading leaf sheath bases carrying numerous, distichous, very small, articulated, elliptic to lanceolate-elliptic, never equitant, acute, flat, never conduplicate, prominently mucronate, apical margin minutely ciliolate leaves that blooms on many, axillary, erect then nodding, shorter than the leaves, racemose, densely 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence with semi-amplexicaul, spreading, triangular, conduplicate floral bracts and carrying very small, yellow greenish, campanulate, fleshy flowers.
