Found in Huauco Peru in montane forests at elevations of 3400 to 3500 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with a strict, rather stout, densely leafy stem enveloped by close, imbricating, denticulate, leaf sheaths carrying recurved- spreading, oblong-ligulate, apiculate, fleshy, sparingly papillose-serrulate margin leaves that blooms on a lateral, erect-spreading but nodding above, peduncle sub-compressed, to .2" [5 mm] long, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence with ovate, shortly acuminate floral bracts and carrying small, white, glabrous flowers
