Found in Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 3400 to 3550 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with an erect to ascending, simple to slightly branched, densely leafy stem enveloped completely by leaf sheaths carrying fleshy, attenuate basally, glabrous, falcate-spreading, linear-ligulate, mucronate leaves that blooms in the mid spring on an axillary, .08 to .12” [.2 to .3] cm long, erect-patent, nutant apically, slightly compressed, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence with ovate floral bracts and carrying small, nutant flowers
