Found in Ecuador and Peru at elevations around 2400 to 2900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with an arcuate, simple, slender stem enveloped completely by the leaf sheaths carrying rather loose, spreading, ligulate, apiculate, entire leaves that blooms on a solitary, erect-spreading, as long as to slightly longer than the leaves, .16 to .26" [4.5 to 6.5 mm] long, densely 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with ovate-deltoid, acute, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying minute, campanulate, erect spreading flowers.
