Found in French Guiana, in very wet forests as a small to medium sized terrestrial with an erect stem carrying a few, plicate, lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with several lanceolate bracts.
