Common Name The Lute-Shaped Palmorchis [refers to the lip shape]

Found in western Ecuador in tropical wet forests as a large sized, hot growing terrestrial with cane-like stems carrying thin, plicate, prominently veined, elliptic, acute leaves that blooms on a terminal, rarely branched, to 4" [10 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence
