Common Name The Dingy Palmorchis

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Heredia province of Costa Rica in in old second growth tropical wet forests at elevations around 100 meters as a small sized, hot growing terrestrial with several, plicate, elliptic, shortly acuminate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring on a terminal, peduncle to 1" [2.5 cm] long, rachis .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with several elliptic-ovate, shortly acuminate, heavily 8 to 9 nerved with prominent cross veinsbracts and carrying sordid flowers with purple veins inside.
