Found in central Nepal and Nagaland and Assam states of India in forests on trees at elevations of 2100 to 2500 meters as a mat forming, miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with orange, pear shaped pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, elliptic leaves that blooms in the fall and the early winter on a basal, short, single flowered inflorescence.
