Common Name or Meaning The Biswasi Papilionanthe - In China Bai Hua Feng Die Lan

Found in Myanmar, Thailand, Yunnan province of China and Borneo in forests on tree trunks at elevations of 1700 to 1900 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect to pendulous, stout, often unbranched stem carrying well spaced, terete, fleshy, abruptly contracted apically, aristate leaves that blooms in the spring on an often shorter than the leaves, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with 1 to 3, short sheaths and broadly ovate-triangular, slightly fleshy floral bracts and carrying widely opening flowers.
