Flower Size 3" [5 to 7 cm]
Found in Thailand, Myanmar, peninsular Malaysia, Borneo and surrounding islands in humus filled limestone rock crevasses on limestone cliffs with bright light near the sea at elevations of 10 to 60 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing, terrestrial species with 4 to 5, strap-shaped to narrowly elliptic, mottled dark green and gray, purple spotting beneath leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, terminal, pubescent, 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, single or occasionaly 2 flowered inflorescence.
This species requires moderate shade, high humidity, hot temperatures and ample water while growing and a dry winter rest.
