Common Name The Spotted Sepal Paphiopedilum

Flower Size

Found in southeastern Yunnan province of China in crevasses of shady cliffs or rocks in evergreen broadleaved forests .

Very similar to and may be a synonym of P henryanum but it is a larger plant with less spotting on the petals and dorsal sepal. This is the first orchid to be described solely on DNA analysis.
