Flower Size 4.4 to 5.2" [11 to 13.5 cm]
Found largely restricted to the mountains of the Ampana Peninsula in Sulawesi in humid montane forests at elevations of 800 to 2200 meters as a small sized, wawrm to cold growing terrestrial with 3 to 6, oblong-elliptic, obtuse, green, mottled darker green on upper surface leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, densely brown hairy, provided with ovate, purple bracts, 10 to 12" [25 to 30 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
