Found in southern China as a warm to cool growing natural hybrid between P malipoense and P micranthum in coniferous, mixed, broad-leaved, evergreen closed forests on limestone at elevations of 800 to 1400 meters that blooms in the spring on an erect, single flowered inflorescence.
