Found in northern Vietnam in coniferous, mixed, broad-leaved and evergreen closed forests in mosses and leaf litter on limestone and north facing limestone cliffs at elevations of 700 to 950 meters asa natural hybrid between P. helenae and P. hirsutissimum var. esquirolei and is a small to medium sized, warm growing epipyte that blooms in the late summer and fall on an erect, arcuate to 6.8" [17 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
