Found in the Lesser Sunda Islands as a large sized, hot growing monopodial epiphyte with an elongate, terete, branching stem carrying terete, distichously, alternate, erect to rather sharply ascending leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an axillary, 6 to 12" [15 to 30 cm] long, successively 3 to 8 flowered inflorescence
