Found in French Guiana in dense wet forests in humus at elevations around 100 meters as a small sized, hot growing, delicate terrestrial with 2 basal, obliquely elliptic-lanceoalte, acute to acuminate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, terminal, peduncle 6.8 [17 cm] long, provided with a few tighly clasping tubular, acute sheaths, rachis to 3.2" [8 cm] long, laxly few flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, longer than the ovary floral bracts.
