Found in San Luis Potosi, Chiapas and Yucatan states of Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador at elevations around 60 meters in open scrub between rocks in semi arid areas in shade as a miniature to small sized, hot growing terrestrial orchid that blooms in the winter
