Common Name The Hook-Shaped Pelexia [refers to the Hook Shaped auricles at the base of the lip]

Flower Size

Found in Valle de Cauca department of Colombia at elevations around 1000 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with 2 or so basal, suberect, glabous, oblong to ovate-oblong, subacuminate, rounded below into the long-petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal, peduncle, [13 to 18cm] long, terete, strict, provided with 5 to 6, minutely glandulous-pilose towaards the apex, sheathing bracts, rachis [13 cm] long, densely 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with erect-patent, lanceolate, acuminate, slightly longer than the ovary floral bracts. .

Found by many to be synomonous to P oliveacea, I, along with Kew, keep them separate.
